Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Sayed Murid Hussain Naqvi, Vice President of Wifaq al-Madaris al-Shia Pakistan, delivered his remarks during Friday prayer sermons at the Grand Mosque of Lahore. He said the unwavering resolve, bravery, and anti-arrogance stance of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, are today widely admired by numerous nations. Yet, he noted, certain spiteful and hypocritical elements, instead of showing solidarity, have resorted to mockery and offensive rhetoric in these trying times.
Underscoring that various peoples around the world have praised the resistance and valor of the Shia nation, he added, “While the overwhelming majority of the world stands with Iran, a handful of hypocrites at home and abroad are echoing the language of the enemies of Islam, particularly that of the United States and the Zionist regime.”
The Vice President of Wifaq al-Madaris al-Shia Pakistan stressed that for years, the United States, with its claims of supremacy and domination, has spared no hostile action against Iran, yet ultimately all its schemes and conspiracies have met with failure — because true and supreme power belongs to God alone.
He continued, “Observe how the American president sought to humiliate Islamic Iran, but in the end he himself became an object of ridicule in the eyes of the world, and today he has resorted to intermediaries and mediators in order to engage in dialogue with Iran. Meanwhile, Iran has stood its ground with dignity and fortitude, and not the slightest wavering has arisen in its independence and will.”
Elsewhere in his address, referring to the announcement of a 200-billion-dollar American investment in Pakistan and plans for the upgrading of the country’s airports, Hojatoleslam Naqvi warned, “These apparently economic measures are in fact part of a larger design to gain control over sensitive and strategically important points in Pakistan. Both the people and the authorities must remain vigilant.”
Citing verses from the Holy Quran, the religious scholar went on to enumerate the characteristics of hypocrites. “The Quran states that when hypocrites are among the believers, they present themselves as allies, and when they go to the devils, they claim alignment with them as well. But God declares that it is He who exposes them and leaves them confounded and astray.”
The Pakistani cleric further recounted that when the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was asked which is more dangerous — an open disbeliever or a hypocrite — the Prophet replied that the hypocrite is more dangerous and more harmful. For the hypocrite wears a hidden face and, through pretense, deceit, and trickery, infiltrates the ranks of the Muslims.
In conclusion, Hojatoleslam Murid Naqvi reminded the congregation that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) identified three key signs of a hypocrite: lying, betraying trust, and breaking promises. “And if we scrutinize closely the behavior of the enemies of Iran and the opponents of the Shia nation, we observe all these traits manifestly in them,” he said.
